Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following posts in the ICT Department

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties

Develop and Maintain University Websites

Assist in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the university's official website and related web applications to ensure they are functional, secure, and user-friendly.

Update and Manage Website Content

Work with departments to publish, edit, and maintain accurate and up-to-date content, including news, announcements, academic programmes, events, and staff information.

Provide Technical Support

Troubleshoot website issues, resolve bugs, monitor website performance, and provide first-line technical support for university web services.

Implement and Test New Features

Participate in designing, coding, testing, and deploying new website features and integrations while ensuring compatibility across different browsers and devices.

Ensure Website Security and Best Practices

Assist in implementing web security measures, performing routine backups, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and adhering to web development standards, accessibility guidelines, and SEO best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications And Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information

Systems, ICT, or related field.

Graduated within the last 2 years.

Minimum degree class: 2.1.

Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web development principles.

Skills

Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

Basic understanding of back-end technologies such as PHP, Node.js, Python, or Java.

Familiarity with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

Understanding of Git/GitHub version control.

Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
