Job Description

Proven ability to safely and efficiently operate factory machines including:

• Surface Planner

• Radial Arm Saw

• 5-Cutter

• Double Crosscut Saw

• Mortiser

• Tenonner

• Band Saw

• Rip Saw

• CNC Machine

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with established operating procedures.

• Set up machines for production by selecting and installing the appropriate cutters, blades, jigs, and tooling.

• Read and interpret production drawings, cutting lists, and work instructions to produce components to the required specifications.

• Measure, mark, and prepare timber and other materials for machining.

• Monitor machine performance during operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

• Conduct routine inspections of machines before, during, and after operation to ensure they are in good working condition.

Qualifications and Experience

• National Certificate or an equivalent qualification in Carpentry, Joinery, Wood Machining, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years' practical experience operating woodworking machinery in a manufacturing environment.
